Adele Is Having Hypnotherapy To Conquer Stage Fright

UK diva Adele is currently in Los Angeles seeing a hypnotherapist as she battles stage fright.

The Sun reports that the Somebody Like You singer is having the treatment due to a huge bout of anxiety, which has fallen over her as she prepares for her performance at the Oscars later this month.

Adele is performing her theme song from the recent James Bond film Skyfall in a tribute to the movie franchise, and is reportedly suffering panic attacks and sleepless nights over the gig. Adding to the butterflies is the fact that Adele’s idol, Barbara Streisand, is also performing on the evening.

Sources told The Sun that Adele often gets nervous before big occasions, so much so that she threw up before she went on stage for her comeback performance at the Grammy’s last year.

“A friend in LA recommended the hypnotherapist because Adele was getting so nervous about the gig,” the source said.

“She has been rehearsing for the show with an orchestra, but all the preparation in the world isn’t enough to keep her calm.

“She was so nervous before last year’s Grammys that she was sick before going on stage. She doesn’t want a repeat of that.”
