Adelaide pop songstress aleksiah has just blessed us with her first new music of 2025. Her fresh single ‘Clothes Off’ is another endearing pop gem, seeing the artist tackle themes of sexual shame and negative body image with her trademark charm and wit.
“I wrote ‘Clothes Off’ after a period of self-reflection as to why I wasn’t able to have sex,” aleksiah explains. “It’s really a diary entry of me scrambling to find some reason as to why I hate myself so much that I wouldn’t allow myself to be intimate and to try and pin the blame on some divine reason. Really, it’s just a learned human feeling to not like yourself very much sometimes.”

She continues: “I hope people listen to this track and feel a sense of relatability and that this song can also be an easy way to explain to your partner why you can’t take your clothes off because I know so many people feel the same. It’s my way of expressing, ‘It’s not you, it’s me’.”
aleksiah well be celebrating the arrival of ‘Clothes Off’ along with her birthday at Sydney’s The Vanguard on Friday, 28th March 2025 as part of the Great Southern Nights initiative.
