Alice Cooper Reckons A Hard Rock Resurgence Is Incoming

Alice Cooper has once again proclaimed rock and roll is not dead. Chatting with Iowa radio station, 95 KGGO the shock rocker talks about his confidence in the genre.

The host, B-sox asks Cooper if he thinks that classic rock and roll camaraderie is what’s missing from the scene.

“I think it’s there,” Cooper says confidently.

“I think what’s going to happen is you’re going to see a total resurgence of hard rock.

“There’s going to be a very young bunch of kids up there that are going to show up. They’re going to be snotty. They’re going to be arrogant.

“That’s what rock should be.”

“Every generation rebels against the last generation,” says Cooper, nodding to EDM and techno.

“They’re buying vinyl, and they’re buying turntables,” he says.

“I think that right there is an indication that there’s kids right now in garages all over the world learning Aerosmith and Ozzy and Alice — they’re learning those songs.”

“Because rock and roll is just too much fun to let die.”

Alice Cooper’s latest album Detroit Stories came out on Friday, 26th February.
