Amy Shark has worked alongside some huge, genre-diverse names in music. Mark Hoppus, Billy Corgan, Jack Antonoff, and now, giant pop duo, The Chainsmokers.
Their collab track ‘The Reaper’ has dropped this morning, along with the entirety of The Chainsmokers’ third album, World War Joy. ‘The Reaper’ is a dark, brooding, pop hit, full of classic Chainsmokers production with Shark’s vocals really give the track some more depth.
Shark shared news of the new single via Instagram, saying, “What a huge honor to be asked to feature on this track by my boys.”
Shark isn’t the only other artist to feature on the release. 5 Seconds of Summer, Ty Dolla $ign, and Bebe Rexha have all scored themselves features on the album. Most surprisingly though, so have Blink-182. They collaborated on the track ‘PS I Hope You’re Happy’.
Amy Shark recently wrapped up a national regional tour and scored herself four nominations at this year’s ARIA Awards.
