Angel Haze Attacks Azealia Banks Through Verse ‘Bitch, You Don’t Want War’

The origins of the latest feud in the hip hop game are somewhat unknown, but what we do know is that rising stars of the game Angel Haze and Azealia Banks are at each other’s throat. The rivalry seems to have stemmed from Twitter, though the battle area has since moved to the studio, with Haze lashing out at her counterpart on a recent track.

On the Edge is as cheeky as it is catchy. Littered with deeply personal attacks, the song is a mix between rap and spoken-word shout-out. Obviously, Banks is the recipient of the taunts and Haze makes no effort to cover this up, or to soften the blow.

“I’m hear to fucking teach ’em, you’re the fucking lesson”, Haze can be heard saying throughout the song, later adding “Bitch I got ammo on you…Bitch, You Don’t Want War”, as well as throwing another jab with the line, “I think my album’s more done than yours, and I just started a week ago”.

Personal jokes are also a hot topic in the track. Past encounters with the likes of Missy Elliot and Paul Epworth are referred to, with Haze unable to hold back her laughter as she spits hate all over Banks and her career.

According to DIY , the bad blood started sometime around when Banks tweeted frustration at out-of-towners claiming her homeland of New York. Soon after that tweet, Banks posted that Haze threatened to ‘cut her’. So while this ain’t no Biggy Vs Tupac type deal, it’s getting pretty intense. Haze will no doubt earn some serious cred for her jam, and the ball is officially in Banks’ court.
