Another Act Has Just Confirmed Themselves For Laneway 2016

Hudson Mohawke has already let his place on the Laneway 2016 lineup slip and now it looks like another act has followed suit.

Canadian duo Purity Ring, who played Splendour In The Grass over the weekend, have let the news slip a triple j interview, all but confirming they’re coming back to Australia early next year.

“We’re looking forward to Laneway because we’ve heard that has more of a summer camp feel,” producer Corin Roddick told triple j’s Veronica and Lewis.

“Lots of people getting to know each other because you’re travelling together over so many days.”

Then, perhaps realising the error he just made, Roddick attempted to backtrack on the statement. By then though, the information was already out there.

“… that is …if we ever play Laneway, we will be very excited about the vibe that it may have. Hypothetically,” he said.

“And maybe a lot of our friends will play, and it’ll be really nice! Hypothetically.”

Nice try, but you’re not fooling us. Lock in Purity Ring for Laneway 2016.

Laneway presented Purity Ring’s Splendour In The Grass sideshows which wrapped-up in Sydney last night.
