The perfect complement to this beautiful winter Monday has arrived in the form of a bubbly, bright and brand-new single from Architecture In Helsinki, along with the news that the band will be performing two special warm-up shows before their appearance at Splendour.
In the Future is the first new music from the band since 2011 and we must say its a very, very welcome return. The track is a non-threatening jam coated in ’80s pop before being smothered in the group’s self-described modernist pop and padded out with synthy hook after synthy hook. It would be right at home with the band’s previous album Moment Bends but In The Future marks the start of a new album cycle and comes as the first official single from AIH’s upcoming album.
With a Splendour In The Grass performance on the horizon, the band are sure to be rehearsing all their new material right now.
AIH will be performing two very special warm-up shows in the lead up to Splendour In The Grass. Tickets are on sale now, with dates and info below the video. In The Future is a shoo-in to make its way onto the set list, so don’t be surprised if some of its brothers and sisters from the band’s fifth studio album make their live debuts also.
