ARIA Awards Announce Details Of 2024 Event

The Australian music industry’s night of nights is back for another red carpet romp in 2024. For the third year in a row, the ARIA Awards will take place at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, the iconic 5,500-capacity live music venue nestled in the heart of the city’s Entertainment Quarter on Gadigal Land. And this year, the big date has been flagged as Wednesday, 20th November.

For those unable to make the ceremony, the 38th ARIA Awards will also be televised live on Stan, followed by a special presentation on Channel 9 with performances and moments available on-demand via the @ARIA.Offical YouTube channel.

This year will also be extra special, as the Hordern toasts its 100th birthday. Since opening in 1924, the venue has played host to countless international and homegrown acts, including the likes of Foo FightersFleetwood MacColdplayThe CureThe KillersArctic MonkeysINXSFlumeLordeBillie EilishAmy Shark and many more.

 “Since 1987, the ARIA Awards have represented the pinnacle of achievement in Australian music,” ARIA CEO Annabelle Herd said in a press statement. “The past year has seen a huge number of homegrown Aussie talent making their mark locally and globally and we’re very excited to celebrate these achievements on 20 November at the Hordern Pavillion. We’re also tremendously grateful to all our partners and everyone involved in helping us give Australian music a global platform.”

Last year’s ARIAs saw  Genesis Owusu take home three ARIAs, including the award for Album of the Year for his second LP, StrugglerG FlipTroye Sivan and Forest Claudette also left with plural pointy sculptures.
