Asking Alexandria have returned following the success of their 2011 LP, Reckless and Relentless, and it seems the band has shaken things up with their upcoming album From Death To Destiny. Today we can marvel at the first music video to come from the release in the name of the latest single The Death Of Me.
This is one particular book you can’t judge by its cover. Looking simply at the album and track names alone, you’d be forgiven to think the band is gearing up to release more of the same but from what we can hear in The Death Of Me, we are about to experience a whole new side of Asking Alexandria than we’ve never seen before. The track sees the band depart from their screaming/singing over a constant breakdown structure, and approach things somewhat closer to traditional rock ‘n’ roll.
The band have hung onto their theatrics, however, this much is clear from the moment the clip begins. Unfortunately for all involved, there is a moment in the clip where things look as though they’re about to get fairly intense, but don’t stress it may remain awkward and inappropriate but there is no ‘R rated’ violence. Phew.
From Death To Destiny will be release Down Under on Friday, 9th August.
