Masters of suspense Avenged Sevenfold have unleashed a beast of a track preview for their forthcoming album Hail To The King. Running for only about 30 seconds, the snippet serves little other purpose than putting fans in a mild frenzy.
From the get-go, the track features the classic sound of Syn Gates shredding underneath the raspy cleans of M. Shadows, but Hail To The King doesn’t seem to reflect any previous album we’ve heard from the hard rockers. It looks as though the new release will see the band unveil a totally fresh take on their sound.
We can now be sure that a7x are well and truly in the zone for their upcoming album, expected to drop Friday, 23rd August.
The band have been drip-feeding updates on the release for a matter of months now, first revealing the cryptic, almost creepy Avenged Sevenfold radio, which was followed by an odd telephone number – the first of several clues that led fans on a paper chase which resulted in the announcement of the new album. Hopefully from this point on it’s just cold hard tuneage.
