Avenged Sevenfold Confirm New Album ‘Hail To The King’ And August Release Date

The legendary SoCal heavy rockers Avenged Sevenfold have made their fans all around the world collectively scream with joy today. Not only have they confirmed the name of their forthcoming album, but they have also confirmed the release date.

First thing this morning the band posted a cryptic image on their Facebook page, so something was definitely going to happen. Next minute the band dropped the bombshell that their new album, to be known from this moment forth as Hail To The King, will be offered to the adoring fan base Tuesday, 27th August. Australian fans, allow a couple of days variation for our turn.

It wasn’t just given away though. The album name and the album art that you can see below were only revealed upon the completion of an online scavenger hunt.

It’s been three years since the band last dropped a full-length album. That would be 2010’s Nightmare and the first release not to feature beloved drummer The Rev. Since then, the band has released singles for Call Of Duty: Black Ops that may very well make their way onto the new record.
