Billboard has reported today that Azealia Banks and her manager Troy Carter, who also looks after Lady Gaga, have ended their partnership.
The split was nothing but amicable, with Carter stating: “I can confirm that I ended the business relationship with Azealia last month on very amicable terms…She’s incredibly talented and I wish her nothing short of an amazing career”.
There had been word that Banks had teamed up with Coldplay manager David Holmes. It was even said that the two were involved romantically, but both rumours have been shut down; Banks remains without representation.
Her short career has been rife with red tape. Alongside this issue there were previous dramas with her record label following the switch from XL Records to Interscope after issues with the boss of XL, who is said to have called Banks ‘amature’.
Banks, who will be appearing on this year’s Splendour in the Grass , has recently released her EP 1991, featuring 4 new tracks.
