Bastille Announce Australian Tour Dates, August 2013

Having well and truly conquered our nation’s airwaves and charts, UK’s unstoppable troupe Bastille have announced they will be performing two intimate gigs this August, hitting up Sydney and Melbourne, sorry the rest of Australia, you’ll have to wait until next time.

The four-piece’s debut album, Bad Blood, is proving to have some serious legs. Already the band has released two critically acclaimed singles form the release, Pompeii and Laura Palmer. The first warning shot, Pompeii, has grown into a double platinum mega-hit with its younger sibling, Laura Palmer, showing signs that it will also infiltrate the mainstream with massive success.

Bad Blood in its entirety has also been well received by the salivating masses. The band has managed to shift a quarter of a million units in their homeland alone. What was once just an alter ego for mainman Dan Smith has developed into a far more collaborative effort with the 3 other members each injecting their own flare into the music on the record in one capacity or another.

For their brief stint Down Under, Bastille will be joined by Sydney crew Tigertown. It’s been a crazy year for the 5-piece who have a new EP on the way, and therefore a show that shouldn’t be missed.
