Beck is bringing something very special to Australia this May. And for the first time ever, local audiences will get to experience his music in full orchestral form.
After wowing crowds at iconic venues like London’s Royal Albert Hall, New York’s Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, the genre-bending legend has confirmed a limited run of Australian orchestral performances, featuring reimagined versions of some of his most beloved songs.

The shows will see Beck backed by native orchestras across five huge gigs: three at the Sydney Opera House and two at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre.
Fans are in for sweeping arrangements and cinematic reinterpretations spanning his catalogue – from the multi-platinum breakthrough Odelay and globe-hopping Mutations, through to the hushed emotional weight of Sea Change and his GRAMMY-winning Morning Phase, plus a few surprises thrown in for good measure.
Melbourne audiences will see Beck perform alongside Philharmonia Australia, one of the country’s most in-demand session orchestras. Under the direction of Leah Zweck, with orchestral supervision from Chong Lim AM, the ensemble brings serious pedigree – having previously performed on major tours with the likes of Hans Zimmer, John Farnham, Olivia Newton-John and Josh Groban.
If international reviews are anything to go by, these shows will be full-scale musical events. Previous performances have been praised for their lush arrangements and emotional depth, with critics calling them “deeply gorgeous” and highlighting the orchestration as a defining force of the experience.
