BENEE Announces 2022 Australian Dates As Part Of World Tour

New Zealand alt-pop phenom BENEE has announced a slew of Australian shows for 2022 as part of her forthcoming world tour.

The singer’s Australian run will kick off in Hobart in March next year, with stops booked for the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney. She’s also set to perform as part of next year’s Yours & Owls festival in Wollongong.

The shows will mark BENEE’s first Australian dates in over two years, when she performed as part of the 2020 Laneway Festival lineup. Since then, she’s released debut album Hey u x, which featured mega-hit ‘Supalonely’ (originally appearing on 2019 EP Stella & Steve) and collaborations with Grimes, Lily Allen, Mallrat and more.

“I AM SO READY TO TOUR!!” the singer commented in an accompanying statement. “Doing shows with my band is the best thing and I have missed it so badly this year. Waiting, rescheduling, waiting again has been incredibly difficult.”

Last month, BENEE returned with her first original single for the year, a raw, vulnerable cut titled ‘Doesn’t Matter’ that saw the singer reflecting on her struggles with mental health. Elsewhere, she’s also teamed up for collaborations with the likes of bbno$ and Dreamer Boy and shared a cover of Gotye‘s classic ‘Somebody That I Used to Know’.

See BENEE’s Australian tour dates below. Tickets go on sale this Friday, 26th November with a Live Nation pre-sale kicking off a day earlier at 10am.
