Beyonce has addressed the headline-making May elevator brawl involving herself, husband Jay-Z, and sister Solange in a new remix of the track Flawless from her 2013 self-titled album. The remix, which was released via SoundCloud overnight, also features a verse from Nicki Minaj.
As rumours about a potential split between Beyonce and Jay-Z continue to surround the power couple, Beyonce addresses her sister’s attack on the rapper and mogul in a hotel elevator earlier this year: “Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator“.
Meanwhile, after spending a week as the web’s favourite meme, Minaj’s verse has her reestablishing herself as rap’s Queen Bee, recalling the fury of her verse on Kanye West‘s Monster. “Winning is my motherfucking protocol/’Cuz I score before I ever throw the ball“, rhymes Minaj.
