BG McCullough Releases Debut EP ‘Journey’

Belfast’s Independent singer-songwriter BG McCullough released a new debut EP—”Journey.” Known for his performances solo and as part of the Belfast band ‘The Long Stay’, McCullough has moved into production for his own material.

At the start of the pandemic lockdown, he began writing and composing music telling heartfelt stories of the soul.

BG McCullogh – ‘at the end of the day’

BG McCullogh’s the new track, “At the End of the Day,” featuring Aoibha, a locally-based singer-songwriter, and Mary McCann from Canada, contemplates the influence of social media in our lives. McCullough reflects, “The world has been connected, but as individuals, we have in many ways become disconnected.” You can watch the video here.

The title track, “Journey,” is a Celtic lament about life’s various journeys and how they shape our identities. Check out the video here.

“A Moment in Time” is a melodic piece about dealing with the loss of a loved one, recorded with McCullough’s songwriting cousins in Ontario, Canada.

“Fragile Leaf” tells the story of a homeless man, showing how harsh reality is for so many today around the globe. Watch the video here.

Lastly, “Never on Your Own” touches on living with dementia, a subject close to home for McCullough. Here’s the video.

McCullough’s EP “Journey” is sure to be full of tunes rife with storytelling, emotion, and soul, proving that music can connect and move its listeners.
