Billy Talent Cancel Perth Show, Apologise To Fans After Adelaide Concert

Attention all Billy Talent fans with plans of attending this evening’s performance from the Canadian punk-rock troupe — you will no longer be doing this.

The band has taken to Facebook to announce that they won’t be able to carry on with the scheduled and final performance of the current Aussie tour, and they’ve also apologised to the crowd they played to in Adelaide overnight.

Taking to Facebook, Billy Talent say, “Extremely gutted to have to do this but due to illness we will have to regrettably cancel our show tonight in Perth. All tickets purchased will be refunded. Promise that we will make it up to you. Thank you for your understanding.”

The post followers an earlier announcement from the band today, in which they apologise profusely for their performance at Adelaide’s Fowlers Live last night. According to the post, the band were hit by the dreaded Aussie flu upon arriving down under. As a result, they “feel we couldn’t give you the full Billy Talent experience”.

Adelaide fans are also informed to hang onto their tickets. “They may come in handy,” the band says, suggesting they might be back quicker than expected to make amends.

Billy Talent are currently in town supporting their brand new album Afraid Of Heights. Catch screenshots of the band’s two Facebook statements to Aussie fans, below.
