UK art rock outfit Black Country, New Road will play their first ever Australian shows in March 2024. The tour itinerary includes a stop at the Sydney Opera House, a performance at the Golden Plains festival in regional Victoria and theatre shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. Find all the details below.
Black Country, New Road have released two LPs to date: 2021’s For the First Time and 2022’s Ants From Up There. The band’s original frontperson, Isaac Wood, announced his departure from the band just days prior to the release of the latter. The remaining six members have continued to tour, however, and in February 2023 they released the live album, Live at Bush Hall.
Black Country, New Road: Live at Bush Hall
Live at Bush Hall comprises nine previously unreleased songs, with lead vocals shared by bass player Tyler Hyde, pianist May Kershaw and saxophonist Lewis Evans. In a review for Pitchfork, Stuart Berman said Live at Bush Hall was “as cohesive a statement as any other record in the band’s discography.”
