The Black Keys have said in a recent interview that they will be touring Australia very soon, around October, and if not, then Big Day Out 2013 could be very likely. Triple M reporter James Young caught up with them in New York:
“I had long words with Patrick and Dan [from The Black Keys] and they assured me that if they’re not here in October they will be here for the Big Day Out.”

Eddie McGuire was so impressed with the news, he said he wanted to present the idea to the Victorian Major Events company to make it happen in Melbourne.
Previously they’ve spoken to triple j about making up for cancelling their last tour here, and hinting at a tour December or early January.
This would all clash with the recent rumours going around that they will be out here for Splendour in the Grass, but either way it looks like they will be here within the next year.
