Bluesfest Has 60 Acts Locked In To Play Next Year’s Festival

While Bluesfest 2020 sadly could not go ahead, the head honcho of the event has confirmed that at least 60 acts have agreed to be a part of the 2021 lineup.

Peter Noble OAM took to Facebook today to reveal that its all systems go when it comes to planning 2021’s event.

“One thing here at Bluesfest is we believe in music, and we believe live music will return bigger and better,” he wrote in a lengthy statement.

“Whilst we don’t know exactly how Bluesfest 2021 will occur,” he continued, “please be aware there are already 60 artists who are either returning or are brand new for Bluesfest 2021.” He also confirmed that there’s essentially a 50/50 split within these 60 artists between local and international artists.

Noble also explained his pretty straight forward back up plan should international acts not be able to make it due to prolonged travel restrictions.

“If we find that the international can’t come, we will invite more Aussies. If we find the internationals can come, we might add more internationals,” he said.

“If they don’t allow us to proceed in 2021 your money will be in a trust account and we will be able to immediately refund you.”

Later in the statement, Noble also said that the 60 artists are comprised of both artists that were set to play the 2020 event, which had a lineup of Patti Smith, George Benson and more, as well as new artists.
