Boy & Bear are back, baby.
With the release of a new single in ‘Hold Your Nerve’ the band marks a new chapter. The song, Boy & Bear’s first slice of new music since their acclaimed 2015 album Limit Of Love, is a triumphant return. Shining with optimism, ‘Hold Your Nerve’ is the result of a period of hard times for the group, particularly for songwriter Dave Hosking.
The release of ‘Hold Your Nerve’ also comes with the announcement of a long-awaited return from Boy & Bear on the live stage – an Australian tour locked in for venues nationally this August.
Recently, the story of Hosking’s battle with chronic dysbiosis was made public, spreading awareness of the bacterial issue that has been wreaking havoc on his nervous system. Taking 2017 and 2018 off from touring to focus on getting back to good health, Hosking and the band began working on a new album that would ultimately lead them to Nashville, where writing and recording came to life.
While he still battles with the condition, Hosking is making strides with his recovery and thanks to the unique FMT (Faecal Microbiota Transplant) treatment, he has been able to embark on not only the making of a new Boy & Bear album, but a world tour, also announced today.
