Meanjin/Brisbane-based trio Reckless Coast’s new single ‘Burn Street’ is here to fill your heart with nostalgia.
Produced by Cody McWaters (The Chats, King Stingray), the uplifting indie pub-rock tune was written as a stirring ode to a local Brisbane street address that radiates happy memories for Reckless Coast singer, Jaeden Ogston.
Reckless Coast – ‘Burn Street’
“‘Burn Street’ is the location of my first share house,” the artist explains in a press statement. “It was like a little family… picture the most ideal and perfect home/living situation and that’s what it was like.
“However, after only 8 months, the lease came up for renewal and we all parted our separate ways,” he continues. “The share houses that followed never came close to being like Burn Street, and I realised that it would be the closest thing to a home I had.”
The new single arrives alongside a fresh round of tour dates for the Brisbane act, who’ll be visiting fans across the East Coast next month.
