Brisbane alt-rockers sunbleached have just announced a brand new EP coming our way in just a few short months’ time. Dubbed I Crawled Into The Hole, the four-piece’s fresh extended player is due to reach our ears on Friday, 30th August.
The news comes alongside the arrival of the disc’s lead single ‘White Lace’, a dreamy, grungy emo hymn written from the perspective of vocalist Josh Baker, who – prior to being against the idea – gave in to tradition and married his sweetheart. The song explores how beliefs and opinions can change, depending on circumstance.
sunbleached – ‘White Lace’
“I got married earlier this year, which is not something my wife and I had ever considered to be in our futures, we’ve historically been very anti tradition and anti marriage,” Baker explains in a press statement.
“The first verse of the song describes coming to terms with giving into tradition and wanting to get married after being so anti marriage for so many years. I feel like people can be so high and mighty with some of the beliefs we carry.”
You can stream ‘White Lace’ above, or catch sunbleached opening up the stage for UK rockers Boston Manor on their Australian headline run this August (dates below).
