It’s been one hell of a year for pop-icon Britney Spears, with stars’ controversial conservatorship that saw her affairs controlled mostly by her father terminated.
Now, the singer has taken to Instagram to tease new music and take aim at the behavior of her family via a video showing her doing vocal runs, accompanied by a lengthy and reflective caption.
Just realized this today guys…after what my family tried to do to me three years ago…I needed to be my own cheerleader! God knows they weren’t…so I just read up on my self and this is what I found,” she wrote, going on to list some of the many accolades she has racked up over the years.
She continued; “Yes…I will be my own cheerleader…why ?? I’m here to remind my white “classy” family that I haven’t forgotten what they did to me nor will I ever forget!!!”, before adding ” “new song in the works…I’m gonna let you know what I mean !!!!!”
Having not released any music since 2016’s Glory, it’ll be fascinating to hear where Birtney goes musically with her newfound control over her life.
Since 2008, Spears’ father Jamie Spears had control of all her financial, medical, and personal affairs, including whether or not she could remarry, custody laws with her children, and her major career decisions.
