The first lineup for bushfire relief fundraiser arena concert Fire Fight Australia has been announced, offering both a smorgasbord of Australian talent along with some huge international guests.
After hinting at it last week, Queen + Adam Lambert are set to headline the event along with KD Lang and Alice Cooper. The benefit show takes place Sunday, 16th February at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.
More locally, the concert will see the likes of Amy Shark, Daryl Braithwaite, John Farnham, Olivia Newtown-John, Peking Duk, Grinspoon and a stack of others join forces to raise money for bushfire relief. Profits from tickets sold will go towards rural and regional fire services in affected states, Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery and the RSPCA Bushfire Appeal.
Comedian Celeste Barber, who has raised over $50 million with her own bushfire appeal, will host the event.
A statement describes the concert as “a major musical event which will see globally renowned artists from Australia and around the world come together to perform and show solidarity with people whose lives have been disrupted by the bushfires.”
