Chris Brown is now facing a lawsuit over an alleged altercation that took place backstage at his recent concert in Fort Worth, Texas. The incident occurred on July 19, and the lawsuit has been filed by Frederick R. Overpeck, the head of backstage security at Dickies Arena.
Overpeck, who is suing Brown and his entourage—including Conway, Hood Boss (Omololu Omari Akinlolu), and Sinko Ceej—for $15 million (£12 million), claims he was injured while trying to protect four men—Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Damarcus Powell—who were allegedly assaulted by the singer and his crew.
Chris Brown Sued Over $15 Million
According to People, Overpeck alleges that Brown, 35, started the fight by throwing the first punch. He describes the incident as a “prison yard beatdown” and accuses Brown of using racial slurs while urging his entourage to continue the assault.
The lawsuit states that Overpeck attempted to intervene and protect Parker but was thrown aside by the attackers. The security head claims that Brown and his crew did not stop their violent actions, instead continuing to kick and stomp Parker, while also injuring Overpeck in the process.
Overpeck says that the altercation left him with a cracked vertebra in his neck, which will require medical treatment and has impacted his ability to work.
Additionally, the four men allegedly attacked by Brown and his crew have filed their own lawsuit against the singer, his entourage, and tour promoter Live Nation, seeking $50 million (£39 million) in damages.
