Chris Cornell’s Daughter, Toni Cornell, Releases New Song Produced By Her Dad

Chris Cornell‘s daughter, Toni Cornell has released her first original single, entitled ‘Far Away Places’. The single was recorded and produced by her father Chris.

Toni Cornell wrote the track when she was 12-years-old, it was recorded in February of 2017. It was one of the last tracks recorded by Chris, just three months before he passed away.

The new single features in a short film also titled Far Away Places. It was originally lent to the short film, but a now 15-year-old Toni Cornell has decided to release it. All profits from the track will be donated to the New York Society For the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NYSPCC).

‘Far Away Places’ is Toni’s first original single. But last year she released a really special cover of Prince’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ which featured her dad’s voice too.

Chris Cornell was the frontman of both Audioslave and Soundgarden. He passed away in May, 2017 at age 52.
