Chuck Berry Has Died At Age 90

Rock ‘n’ roll legend Chuck Berry has died at the age of 90.

St. Charles County Police Department took to Facebook to confirm the news saying that emergency services were called to a house where there was an “unresponsive man”.

“Unfortunately, the 90-year-old man could not be revived and was pronounced deceased at 1:26 p.m,” they wrote.

“The family requests privacy during this time of bereavement.”

Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr. AKA. Chuck Berry rose to prominence in the late ’50s with songs like ‘Sweet Little Sixteen’, ‘Maybellene’ and ‘Johnny B Goode’.

He received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy in 1984 and was later inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 1986.

Last year, Berry announced his final album Chuck dedicated to his wife Thelmetta. The album is still yet to arrive.

Slash, QTip and Vince Staples are among the first fellow musicians to pay tribute to Berry on social media.
