Purveyors of retro-pop pastiche Client Liaison have announced their new record Divine Intervention will arrive in September.
The band’s second studio album comes some five years after their debut LP Diplomatic Immunity, and has been previewed with a string of singles over the last couple of years like ‘The Real Thing’, ‘The Beat Supreme’, ‘Champagne Affection’ and ‘Intervention’.
To coincide with the announcement, Client Liaison have shared disco-oriented new single ‘House of Holy’, which was written with Pnau and Empire of the Sun‘s Nick Littlemore in 2019 at Sunset Sound in LA. “Inspiration for the song struck us after we visited the studios’ haunted upper floors,” the duo explained in a statement.
“‘House Of Holy’ sets the tone for what this album is all about. It looks to the future with restless wonder, dedicating mind, body and spirit to having a seriously good time.”
The duo have also announced national headline tour dates for this September and October, with stops booked in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne. They’re also set to appear as part of the Splendour in the Grass XR virtual festival next month.
Listen to ‘House of Holy’ and see tour dates below. Divine Intervention is set to arrive on Friday, 10th September.
