Cold Chisel Expand 50th Anniversary Australian Tour With Additional Dates

Australian pub rock band Cold Chisel has responded to strong ticket demand for their Big Five-O Australian tour by adding six more dates to their scheduled tour.

The new tour dates cities such as Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Hunter Valley and Canberra now have additional opportunities to see the iconic band live.

Last week, their shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney sold out in minutes, prompting the band to continue their tour. With the additional dates, Cold Chisel will now play a total of 23 shows across Australia, celebrating their 50th anniversary in style.

The band’s singer Jimmy Barnes expressed surprise at the huge response. “We were completely blown away by the response last week. The demand for tickets was bigger than anything we’ve ever seen before.”

Guitarist Ian Moss also said. “Unfortunately, we can’t do gigs everywhere, so we’ve tried to get to the places where the outcry was loudest. That’s why we’ve added new shows in Canberra and the Hunter Valley, as well as additional gigs in Brisbane and Sydney, plus two more in Melbourne. The reaction of our fans has really fired us up – we can’t wait to play for everyone.”

Advance tickets are only available to members of Cold Chisel, Face To Face Touring from 1pm AEST on Monday 17 June.

The remaining tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday 18 June at 1 pm AEST via the Cold Chisel website.
