Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has posted a picture of him working on some new lyrics.
He posted a picture on Instagram of what looks to be his hand plus a sheet of handwritten lyrics with the caption, “working…#slipknot.”
This comes not long after Taylor revealed that he’d been working on lyrics for the band’s new music calling them, “his most autobiographical lyrics in years.”
Taylor is still touring with his other band Stone Sour but this latest photo proves that he’s also got his mind on Slipknot’s follow-up to 2014’s .5: The Gray Chapter.
It’s hard to make out many lyrics in the photo but the song seems to have a working title starting with ‘Birth Of’ which means very little to us right now but is good to know anyway.
Taylor reckons we’re going to hear the new album in 2019. The band have completed a number of new songs and sent them to him so that he can pen lyrics.
It seems he’s working pretty quickly too. Only a few months ago, Taylor said that he hadn’t heard any of the band’s new music.
