Courtney Barnett Adds New Sydney And Melbourne Dates To 2022 Tour

The Australian component of the world tour behind Courtney Barnett’s third album, Things Take Time, Take Time, just got bigger with new shows confirmed for Sydney and Melbourne.

The Sydney leg of the tour is part of the NSW Government’s Great Southern Nights initiative. Barnett will be playing at the Enmore Theatre on Friday, 25th March. The show at Forum Melbourne on Thursday, 17th March is now officially sold out, but Barnett has announced a second performance at the venue on Friday, 18th March.

Barnett has also confirmed Alice Skye as her support act for the duration of the tour. The Wergaia/Wemba Wemba woman and esteemed songwriter will play songs from her latest solo album, I Feel Better But I Don’t Feel Good, released in mid-2021.

The tour now includes a total of five dates, with performances in Perth and Brisbane as well as Sydney and Melbourne. It’s Barnett’s first Australian tour in three years.

Barnett recently performed ‘Write a List of Things to Look Forward To’ on Ellen with help from drummer Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint, Kurt Vile), bass player Cate Le Bon and Mini Mansions’ Zach Dawes on keys. The Courtney Barnett documentary, Anonymous Club, featured at this year’s Sydney Film Festival and Melbourne Music Week. Check out the trailer here.
