Courtney Love Accuses ‘Rude’ Olivia Rodrigo Of Ripping Off Hole Artwork

Courtney Love has taken a swipe at Olivia Rodrigo, accusing the pop shooting star of ripping off her band Hole with the promo shots for her forthcoming ‘Sour Prom’ concert film.

Rodrigo’s pic sees her dressed as a prom queen, holding a bouquet of flowers with mascara streaking down her face, reminiscent of the artwork for Hole’s iconic 1994 album Live Through This featuring model Leilani Bishop as the makeup-smeared prom queen.

The first lady of grunge took to social media to point out the similarities between the two images, tagging Rodrigo and writing: “Spot the difference! #twinning”

Commenting on the post, Rodrigo then replied: “Love u and live through this sooooo much”, to which Love then heavily insinuated that the younger singer owes her flowers and a thank you note for the free inspo.

“Olivia – you’re welcome. My favorite florist is in Notting Hill, London! Dm me for deets! I look forward to reading your note!” she wrote.

The Hole singer then expressed a few more thoughts on the matter in the comment section of her Facebook post, writing “I’ve informed her I await her flowers [and] note. I sure hope it’s long . Does Disney teach kids reading and writing? God knows.”

“Let’s see. Yes this is rude. Rage inducing? Honey if I had a dollar for everyone [sic] this happens? I’d be real rich!”

She also added: “My cover was my original idea . A thing you maybe have to actually live life to acquire ? I don’t know . Anyway . Disney ? Yes it’s rude.”
