The Cranberries Will Release Their Final Album With Dolores O’Riordan Next Year

The Cranberries have announced that they will release one final album with Dolores O’Riordan who passed away earlier this year.

The band has written a statement on their official website revealing that they will be releasing a new studio album early next year.

“Dolores had already recorded the vocals,” they wrote about the new album which they started working on last year.

“All going well we hope to have this new album finished and out early next year.”

This year, the band will release a 25th Anniversary edition of their debut album Everybody Else is doing it so why can’t we.

It will be a remastered version of the album which will include previously unheard material recorded around the same time they were recording the LP.

They started to work on it last year with plans of releasing it this month, to mark the actual 25th anniversary but they put the whole project on hold after O’Riordan passed away.

“After much consideration we have decided to finish what we started,” they wrote.

“We thought about it and decided that as this is something that we started as a band, with Dolores, we should push ahead and finish it. So that’s the plan, to finish the project and get the special 25th anniversary edition album out later this year.”

Following O’Riordan’s death, the band shared a statement calling her, “an extraordinary talent.”

The band’s last album Something Else was released in 2017 and it featured new renditions of old songs plus three new songs.
