Daft Punk Get A Lotus F1 Race Car

They’ve long had the helmets, now they have the car to match. Just when you thought Daft Punk had exhausted every possible promotion angle for their new album Random Access Memories, the French duo have found themselves in the garage with the Lotus F1 Team and branded one schmick looking race car.

The details of how, when or why this merger happened aren’t clear. All we have to go on is a series of short videos posted on the Lotus F1 YouTube Channel and a slew of tweets on the race team’s Twitter account with the has tag #GetLucky.

Pictures of the F1 sporting the Daft Punk logo often accompany the tweets and, although the car looks mighty impressive, it appears the test run didn’t end so impressively. You can check out few of the many photos and all the short teaser clips below.
