One of the most influential and essential bands of the hardcore punk generation, Dead Kennedys, will be heading back to our shores this year, taking their message against political apathy right across Australia this September and October.
The band’s last visit was in 2011 and their plans to tour last year were unfortunately dashed due to injury. Dead Kennedys plan to tour the country even more extensively on this run, taking in nine shows nationally starting with an all ages gig in Adelaide.
With various line-up changes, controversies and thousands of live shows Dead Kennedys set about writing an indelible chapter in the history of modern music. The current lineup of East Bay Ray, Klaus Flouride, D. H. Peligro and Ron “Skip” Greer will bring their extensive and influential catalogue to venues across the country, including their fourth and final studio album and the namesake of their tour, Bedtime For Democracy.
Tickets go on sale Friday, 4th of July at 12pm (local time).
