Dead Letter Circus are currently putting the finishing touches to their debut album for Warner Music. The as yet untitled album was recorded at Melbourne’s Sing Sing studios with producer Forrester Savell (Karnivool, The Butterfly Effect) and is due for release on May 14 2010.
With the help of a film crew, the band has captured all the madness and mayhem that takes place during the recording process and will be making it available for fans to watch online as part of a new Members Only section on their website called Project Dead Letter.
Guitarist, Rob Maric says: “We really wanted to do something special for the people who have supported us over the last few years and made this album possible for us to create. We love the idea of those people being a fly on the wall during the process and seeing what really goes on in the studio. We also love that people can see and hear little pieces of the album leading up to it’s release. It’s album foreplay! We had an amazing time in the studio and we think it’s going to make for some interesting viewing… “
Members of Project Dead Letter will get to see all the exclusive video content as well as have access to samples and snippets of unfinished songs, pre release mp3 downloads, live recordings, ticket pre-sales and special offers, behind the scenes photos, screen savers and ringtones – not to mention, being amongst the first to find out anything and everything related to DLC. The band promise to add at least one new piece of content every day between now and album release.
