Fresh off the Soundwave tour, Melbourne hardcore outfit Deez Nuts have announced that longtime bass player Jon Green will be handing over the rhythm reins to new member Sean Kennedy. In a statement the band insist there is no bad blood between Green and the other members.
“Sadly we must announce that our brother Jon Green has hung up his bass and come to the end of his time with Deez Nuts. Jon has decided to move on to focus on his personal endeavours. We wish Jon the best and he has our love… he will always remain a part of the DN fam,” they write.
Sean Kennedy served as an original member of the band, with Deez Nuts adding, “We welcome him with open arms as you all should too!” The band write enthusiastically about the coming months, with “dates locked for the UK, Europe, Australia, South East Asia and North America.”
Having spent much of the last two years in Europe, where they now enjoy headlining spots to crowds of over 1000 people a night in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, the boys are heading back for an extensive festival run, including appearances at Point Open Air and Groezrock.
