Earlier in the year, Floridian rapper Denzel Curry was confirmed as part of the next-level lineup for Perth’s Origin NYE Festival. Now, Curry has confirmed he’ll be sidetracking from his festival duties for two headline shows, where he’ll be hitting Sydney and Melbourne.
Despite being well and truly embedded in the hip hop world, Curry is about as punk rock as MCs can get. With a terrifyingly simple mission statement of making honest and aware tunes, and a complete lack of fear for creating politically-charged rap, Curry is a clear and present threat to the establishment.
Curry is currently biding his time, planning his Normandy invasion. For much of the recent past, he’s been putting the final touches in his follow-up to his double EP 32 Zel / Planet Shrooms while taking it to all corners of the globe for live shows.
