Breaking news out of Melbourne today, as Denzel Curry has pulled out of Listen Out‘s first leg last minute due to problems with his voice.
Punters across social media were saying that Curry’s set has been cancelled from today’s leg, before Listen Out posted a statement from Denzel to Facebook.
“Apologies to all my fans in Melbourne who came out to see me today,” the statement reads.
“My voice is gone so I can’t perform. Much love to all my fans I got to embrace at Culture Kings yesterday, Even though I couldn’t speak I felt the love. I was hoping I’d be 100 percent today but unfortunately I’m not so I’m taking this time off to heal for Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, & Adelaide. I love you all!”
On top of that, weather issues have caused more problems for Listen Out Melbourne, as the festival had to close down the Atari stage – ie. the event’s main stage – due to “high winds.”
Listen Out is scheduled to take on Brisbane on Saturday, Perth on Sunday and Sydney next Saturday. Listen In, the Adelaide sister event of the festival, is scheduled to take place next Sunday.
