Dionne Warwick Announces 2025 Australian Tour

Dionne Warwick has announced an Australian tour for January 2025. The veteran American soul singer has dubbed her upcoming tour One Last Time: Celebrating 50 Years Of Hits, indicating that it may well be a farewell run for the 83-year-old. The full Australian tour schedule, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be accessed below.

In addition to performing in Australia, Warwick will also mount a return to New Zealand for the first time since 2019. She and her band will perform at Auckland’s Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre on Tuesday, January 21st and at Christchurch’s Town Hall. Information on the Auckland show can be accessed here, while information on the Christchurch show can be found here.

Dionne Warwick – ‘Say A Little Prayer’

Warwick last toured Australia in November of 2018, playing theatres nationwide. Since she was last in Australia, the Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer has undergone a surprising career revival. Her usage of Twitter, where she would bluntly tweet at artists such as Chance The Rapper and The Weeknd, introduced her to a new generation – gaining such infamy on the platform that she inspired an art installation entitled Dionne Warwick: Queen Of Twitter.

This prompted a cameo appearance from Warwick herself on Saturday Night Live in 2021, where she appeared in a sketch where cast member Ego Nwodim played Warwick and effectively interviewed “herself” on a talk show. Then, in 2023, Warwick was sampled by Doja Cat on her worldwide multi-platinum chart-topping hit ‘Paint The Town Red’ – using the hook from her 1964 single ‘Walk On By’ as a loop in the song’s beat. Although Warwick did not know who Doja Cat was, she said on The Kelly Clarkson Show that she was “thrilled” for her and the song’s success. “I hope ‘Walk on By’ is as good for her as it has been for me,” she said. “They’re [both] great songs.”
