Snoop Dogg has never been one to hold back his feelings about the current US President, and now Donald Trump’s personal lawyer is demanding an apology for how the POTUS was depicted in Snoop’s latest music video.
The clip for Snoop’s rework of BADBADNOTGOOD’s ‘Lavender’ depicts Trump in clown makeup, and ends with the ageless rapper pulling a gun on the fake President.
Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen told TMZ that if Snoop Dogg wanted to protest then he should at least “make a point.”
“It’s totally disgraceful. Snoop owes the president an apology,” he said. “There’s absolutely nothing funny about an assassination attempt on a president, and I’m really shocked at him because I thought he was better than that.” Cohen continued, expressing that he “doesn’t understand the artistic value in having someone dress up as Trump and firing a weapon at him.”
Clearly the music community doesn’t echo Cohen’s sentiments, with Ice-T and Treach already voicing their support for the video, as Billboard points out.
