UPDATE: Dua Lipa Cancels More Australian Shows Following Urgent Dental Surgery
ORIGINAL STORY: English-Albanian singer Dua Lipa has cancelled a number of Australian performances as she prepares to undergo urgent dental surgery on her wisdom teeth.
Lipa, who is currently supporting Bruno Mars on his 2018 Australian tour, has been advised by doctors to undergo an “immediate” dental operation, and has therefore cancelled her scheduled appearances supporting Mars in Brisbane tonight and tomorrow night (14th and 15th March).
In a statement, Lipa says:
“I’m so sorry to have to cancel some of my support shows with Bruno. I’ve been performing with an awful pain due to my wisdom teeth and as advised by my dentist and oral surgeon I have to have them imminently removed.
“I have been enjoying this tour so much and am upset that life has gotten in the way but hopefully I’ll have a speedy recovery and make it back as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding xx.”
Lipa also has a headline show scheduled in Sydney on Wednesday, 21st March, which tour promoter Live Nation says has not been cancelled.
The company says Lipa “will be back performing on the [Bruno Mars] tour as soon as possible”, and has told fans to keep an eye on socials for further details.
