Dua Lipa has today announced an absolute all-star remix of her latest Future Nostalgia cut ‘Levitating’, enlisting the help of music legends Madonna and Missy Elliott to breathe new life into the track, with The Blessed Madonna on deck to remix it.
Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, Lipa wrote, “LEVITATING REMIXED BY THE BLESSED MADONNA FEATURING MY IDOLS MADONNA & MISSY ELLIOTT”
Lipa also revealed that the remix is set to drop on Friday, 14th August.

Notably, this will be the first release of The Blessed Madonna’s since she changed her name from The Black Madonna. As artists such as The Chicks have done, The Blessed Madonna changed her name after recognising it as a “a point of controversy, confusion, pain and frustration that distracts from things that are a thousand times more important than any single word in that name.”
This also marks the first release from Missy Elliott since she hopped on a remix of Toni Braxton’s ‘Do It’, which followed the Iconology EP that dropped last year. It also marks the first release of Madonna’s since she dropped her 2019 album Madame X.
The ‘Levitating’ remix comes shortly after Lipa unleashed the animated video for her latest single ‘Hallucinate’. Both tracks were taken from Lipa’s 2020 album Future Nostalgia, which Music Feeds named as one of the best albums of the year so far.
While we wait for the remix to drop, listen to the original single below.
