Post-punk, Leeds-based five piece Eagulls are set to come to Australia soon as one of the most anticipated acts on the Laneway Festival 2015 lineup and will also play two exclusive sideshow dates in Melbourne and Sydney.
The buzz band, whose sound references notable punk influencers Joy Division and Dinosaur Jr., with a modern twist, will play Melbourne’s Howler Bar on Wednesday, 28th January and step into Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Friday, 30th January.
Eagulls have spent the past six months playing sold out shows on a UK tour with the likes of Franz Ferdinand and Manic Street Preachers as well as headlining shows across the UK, Europe and the States with tunes from their self-titled debut album.
Their performance at http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/are-these-the-10-catchiest-modern-pop-songs/Laneway Festival’s SXSW showcase earlier this year garnered high praise from festival organisers who were impressed by the band’s high intensity sets and frontman George Mitchell’s vitriolic vocals.
These are sure to be some very captivating live shows. See Eagulls’ sideshow details below and keep up with all the latest sideshow news at the Laneway Festival 2015 Sideshows feed.
