Eight rising Aussie musicians are about to take part in The ShareSpace, a new collaborative music series created by Sony Music and ZigZagTV.
Aged between 17 and 24, the unsigned singers will leave their various hometowns and become part of the debut ShareSpace class later this month, before collaborating, creating and sharing music together for 30 days. Think of it like a songwriting camp, only broadcast on YouTube.
Hosted by Jai Waetford and Alli Simpson, The ShareSpace will officially launch at 7pm AEDT on Sunday, 15th October, with daily episodes and social content from the artists involved.
At the end of the 30 days, an algorithm will collate all the likes, comments, views, shares and streams the artists have garnered in that time to determine one ultimate winner, who’ll receive a “global writing and collaboration experience” and a recording contract with Sony.
Meet the 2017 ShareSpace class — Hannah Waddell, Zachary Staines, Jessica Jade, Tayla Mae, Damielou, Take Two and Tai — in the videos below, and stay tuned to the ShareSpace YouTube channel for more.
