Electric Callboy Drummer Departs Band After 13 Years

In a bittersweet blast to the feels, Electric Callboy have officially parted ways with their longtime drummer and founding rhythm wizard, David-Karl Friedrich. After 13 years of blast beats, breakdowns, and Hypa Hypa hysteria, the band broke the news on socials this week, confirming that Friedrich is stepping down to “do something new”.

“Hey guys, something is going to change,” the band shared. “David has decided that he wants to do something new and will follow his own path from now on.”

Electric Callboy – ‘ELEVATOR OPERATOR’

Friedrich has been holding it down since the band’s “Eskimo Callboy” days, watching them evolve from Myspace-core meme lords to international electro-metal giants. So yeah, it’s the end of an era — but not the end of the party.

Electric Callboy assured fans that no shows will be cancelled, with their 2025 festival and tour schedule still locked and loaded. “We will play all festivals and upcoming concerts with a drummer. We will let you know soon who exactly. Can’t wait to see you all this summer!”

Naturally, fans flooded the comment sections with everything from teary-eyed farewells to drumstick emojis and ‘Pump It’ puns.

One punter wrote: “You were the heartbeat of the party, David,” while another added, “Thanks for the chaos, the cardio, and the cowbell.”

Music Feeds would like to salute David for 13 years of beautifully unhinged bangers. Whoever ends up replacing him will have big sneakers (and probably a mullet) to fill.
