The results are in from the annual Queensland Music Awards, and once again it looks as though they’ve got it right. Some of the state’s best and brightest musical talent were pitted against each other with the winners being announced tonight.
Out of a large talent pool, Emma Louise is the undisputed winner of the night, taking home Most Popular Female, Album Of The Year for Vs Head Vs Heart as well as Export Achievement recognising the attention garnered overseas.
Jeremy Neal also won big, taking out Most Popular Male. The Jungle Giants scoring Most Popular Group though Ball Park Music couldn’t have been far off, grabbing Song Of The Year as well as best Pop Release for Surrender.
Thelma Plum took out the Indigenous category for her work with co-writer Andrew Lowden on Rosie and the Heavy category went to The Amity Affliction for their chart topping Chasing Ghosts.
