First Act For Future Music Festival 2015 Confirmed

The first act on the lineup for the 2015 instalment of the Future Music Festival has been revealed as Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and dancer Kiesza has confirmed that she will finally be making her way to Australia for the event next year.

Earlier this year fans were disappointed when the Canadian was forced to cancel her one-off Sydney show, as part of her first promo trip to Australia, due to heavy touring commitments in the US. At the time she said a full Australian tour was in the works.

Fans needn’t be disappointed any longer as the vocal house sensation will make her way to our shores for one of Australia’s biggest music events, Future Music 2015, armed with her debut record Sound of a Woman.

“You have no idea how excited I am,” the singer told Music Feeds. “Australia is one of those place I’ve been dreaming of going to since I was a kid. It’s like something Canadians do, go to Australia for life.”

The songstress also confirmed she’s going to try and organise some sideshows while in the country as well. “It’s not like I get to go to Australia all the time so I want to give my fans in Australia, as many as I can, the opportunity to see me perform.”

Kiesza has penned songs for pop superstars like Rihanna, Kylie Minogue and Icona Pop while her own smash hit Hideaway has been viewed more than 61 million times on YouTube. On top of that she used to be in the reserves of the Royal Canadian Navy, taught herself to play guitar and once entered the Miss Universe Canada pageant.
